Legal Observers and Know Your Rights Training

The Main Street Project in collaboration with the Minnesota Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild invite you to a Legal Observers and Know Your Rights Training.

Come and learn

--about your First Amendment Rights

--about the importance and role of legal observers --how legal observers put their skills to use

Please note: You do not need to be a lawyer or law student to participate. Community members and people working/volunteering with community-based organizations are encouraged to attend!

All ages welcome; must be 21 to BE a legal observer

Casual dinner will be served

  • Learn more
    Keep up to date on local and national issues affecting your community. Connect with others who share your concerns. Join our LRV Action Alert network.
  • Get involved
    Participate in civic life. Attend public meetings when you can. Volunteer in your community. Run for public office.
  • Add your voice
    Know your elected officials. Call and write them whenever they need it. Talk about issues with your friends and neighbors. Write letters to the editor.
  • Register to vote!
    Encourage others to register and vote as well.
  • Report problems at the polls
