FEMA centers open in southeastern Minnesota

August 27, 2007
Star Tribune
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it would open disaster recovery centers Monday in three southeastern Minnesota counties.

The centers in Winona, Houston and Fillmore counties will be a one-stop shop for disaster recovery information for individuals and businesses, FEMA said.

The Winona County center will be in the J.C. Penney building at Highways 61 and 14 in Winona.

In Houston County, the center will be at the Hokah fire station at Highways 44 and 16.

In Fillmore County, the center will be at the TRW West Automotive building, 901 Home Street in Rushford.

People are asked to register with FEMA before visiting a disaster recovery center by calling 1-800-621-FEMA or online at http://www.fema.gov.

The centers will be open from 3-8 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-noon Sunday.
